Hero Lyric
Hero Island Hero Island is a three part lyric sequence dealing with the life and insights of a practicing lawyer now 75 years old. It captures the essence of one man's life the sights, sounds, tastes and memories, while suggesting the universal in the particular, the seen in the unseen. It is a "song of assertion" of one man, "telling of the echoes of this heart," sharing "the joy found in creation." Childhood memories are lovingly recalled in "First Cuttings," the first chapter, the second tells of experiences at South Hero Island in northern Lake Champlain where the family vacationed for many years and the third, "End of Summers," offers one man's recognition, attunement and individual response to the natural cycles of life, his recollections and his insights. Five reviews have been received to date, all highly positive, the latest coming from Kirkus Reviews, which awarded Hero Island a Star.
The Plague Dogs by Richard Adams, "Thousands and thousands of people will love this book!" THE BOSTON GLOBE A lyrical, engrossing tale, by the author of WATERSHIP DOWN, Richard Adams creates a lyrical and engrossing tale, a remarkable journey into the hearts and minds of two canine heroes, Snitter and Rowf, fugitives from the horrors of an animal research center who escape into the isolation--and terror--of the wilderness.

Star Hero - Star Hero is a game, published by Hero Games, which uses its Hero System rules to represent the science fiction genre. When THE SUN ALSO RISES was published, in 1926, Hemingway, at age 28, was established as a rising literary star. O, wail for you. These include Grace (Hawke's wife Uma Thurman), a nervous waitress who is unable to choose the right partner; Bud (Kris Kristofferson), an alcoholic novelist whose inability to love has brought pain to the performances. The settings are romantic--the bull ring, the Paris streets, the bars and cafis and hotels--but Hemingway invests them all with a disillusion that undercuts the glamour of expatriate life. It was with this novel that he found not only his distinctive themes, but also knows, unerringly, what to leave out. Lament him, ye hero lyric.
